I have a USA made set and it's held up to a ton of use. Hopefully these are equal quality.

I just don't see a $40 value here. At $10 I'd bite. At $40, you can get much better wrenches with a better warranty.

I don't think this is a great deal either considering that these are non-ratcheting wrenches.

A warranty that'd actually be honored at stores that sell Crapsman tools.

I was going to say, it's a 50-50 chance of getting a legit lifetime warranty Crapsman tool replaced at an Ace Hardware or Lowes. Then I stopped to think...nah, the odds aren't even as good as 50%. It's more like 25% or 10%.

I've gone in multiple times, and gotten everything from "we don't honor that warranty, you need to submit an RMA with Crapsman directly" to "if you don't have the original receipt from us, you can't exchange it here" or "we only sell that in a large kit, can't help you" or "that socket is from a larger set, you need to swap the ENTIRE set or else."

Officially from Crapsman, it should be "if they have it in stock, you should be able to walk in, and do a direct exchange. no paperwork, no hassle. if it's part of a set, you DO NOT need to exchange the entire set -- they should open one of theirs, give you the specific tool, and they work with corporate to get the set replaced. if they don't have the part and can order it, they have an obligation to do so."

Imagine. Lowes ORDERING something for you. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Exactly. I've not been very successful in getting the warranty honored. When I tried to directly contact Craftsman, I never got a reply.
