Wal Mart model is only 36,000 BTU. Does not perform like the regular unit at 60,000 BTU despite what you are told by Blackstone

Yup. The best approaches to buy the older original, by the wind guards the 30 bucks on Amazon that are magnetic, and the original top won't warp as much as the omnivore griddle top. There are YouTube video showing the omnivore griddle top warping.
