Agreed. However I will point out that no one here has mentioned their $0 Rx maintenance drugs. That alone has easily paid for the Plus membership and then some for my family.
Just throwing that out there for folks to think about that if they aren't already.
ETA...everyone should check and make sure the "auto renew" if off.
And do this before your renewal date.
I discovered that there was no way to turn off auto-renewal myself, either in their app or on their website. It just was not possible. I had to call customer service and speak to a rep to first turn off auto-renewal and then downgrade from Plus.
I will say that the CS rep was great, but having to go through this at all is BS.
If you buy your tires at Sams and have the plus membership, you get free tire rotations and balancing for the duration of your membership. Twice a year tire rotations for two cars + the food court basically pays for the membership.
Caveat, you don't need a membershito use the food court. Additionally, always shop around. I was going to buy some Goodyear tires from Sam's club, but when I figured my membership was running out in 2 months and I wasn't going to renew, I searched for the same tire at other places. Walmart had the same tire, but ironically for $20 less per tire ($130 vs $110). Lifetime balance and rotation was $15, so it worked out $5 less per tire.
On top of that, I used a BS email to sign up for WM plus for a free trial and got the tire insurance for free. I made out better at WM than Sam's. Even though I used the free trial, even if I hadn't, I would have saved $20 on 4 tires.

Why do you need tire rotation and balancing twice a year? Are you changing the tires seasonally?
The only reason why I got it was free shipping. Now the only thing free is driving to the store and picking up, which I can already do for free.
I've gone with Walmart+ now. Less bulk, but basically the same price and free shipping.
You still pay for road hazard at discount tire, it's not free. Tire repair is free(if possible), as is B&R.
Nope, it's included . It comes with everything Costco and Sam's club offer. What is not free, is the certificate that goes ABOVE AND BEYOND what Costco and Sam's club offer

I think you get $40 off mounting them also. I buy tires about every 1.5 years for as much as I drive so that makes the price worth it.
I just got an email that Sam's Club Plus is bumping up their free shipping threshold to $50 in August. BOO!
Call Them! I did. ask for supervisor. She had a bucket full of prepped responses.
But overall responsive. They're listening. Doesn't seem to be in stone just yet.
Yeah, but delivery "should" mean you now have to also tip. If you're not a scumbag that is ...
Most of these delivery subscriptions want you to tip the driver it wont be any different with sams and if you're going to carry that 40 bottle water case to my door thats worth a few bucks to me

Discount tire will match Sam's tire prices and also has more stores and free rotation and balance.
