Free shipping is going up but delivery from store is going to be free with 50 dollar minimum. I can get all my meats and everything without setting foot in that warzone.
Sam's a Warzone?
ever been to Costco on a Sunday ? That's more like it.
Whoa I didn't know that part about not earning cash on online orders😦
We order a bunch every week for our business. I assumed we earned
Sad to hear about the shipping too. I guess all good things must come to an end. Figured it never made any sense for them to ship a bundle of TP for free. Shipping alone via FedEx cost them $15-20
My store has started having Sams Club employees deliver purchases in their own private cars instead of Fed Ex oe UPS
Sign up with T-Mobile at the club and they'll give you $60 every year to be a Plus member
Just google search free Sams club memberships. Sometimes you have to use a different email address. Also check Groupon. I never pay full price. Regular memberships are easy to find for free. The plus are not always free but much cheaper.

Agreed. However I will point out that no one here has mentioned their $0 Rx maintenance drugs. That alone has easily paid for the Plus membership and then some for my family.
Just throwing that out there for folks to think about that if they aren't already.
well, i don't have plus and my maintenance prescription cost five cents.
I've had Plus for about five years, but I've been debating about getting rid of it, and this new change has pushed me over the edge. So after I get my Sam's Cash at the start of next month, I'll cancel Plus.
I did not realize the issue about not getting cash for online orders vs. instore/curbside, but darn, it makes total sense because it always seemed sort of random how much I got back. For example, via a recent online order, I got a big TV, electric toothbrush, and few other things that totaled well over $1k. So I was expecting a biggish cash back, but it never materialized. I figured it was just delayed, but now I understand it never will arrive because it was an online order.
The other irksome thing about Plus "free shipping" is that to activate it, sometimes you cannot order qty. 1 like you might pick up in the club--they set a minimum of qty. 2 just to get free shipping. A couple of the particular items I wanted were set this way so I did not end up getting them.
I was sort of justifying the extra cost of Plus by free shipping and cashback defraying it, but yeah, it has just not worked out that way.

They have not been free recently, that I am aware of. I think my last regular one was $20 but I got these moview tickets I had to pay a few bucks fee for . Still have yet to use the movie tix
In Georgia, Sams club would say they could not do free drugs , they had to charge for some reason , with Plus.
You are correct. I have had different membership numbers with sams for last 12 years using plus but never got free medication. But for last few years we have been getting travel medication lot cheaper using sams plus membership discount compared to Costco , Walmart and even our our insurance with Kaiser. Sams did save us a lot for preventative medication in last many years.
Anyone who pays the full price for a Sam's club membership or the plus is insane. I know the promos don't happen as much anymore but still wait for em
I've had different membership number with same plus for last 12 + years and never paid over $50-$70 for plus. Amex has had offers several times a year getting plus membership. I've never had success getting renewal discount on plus membership. So end up getting new ones every year. I'm sure one reason why plus free shipping minimum for increased due to lot of members abusing smaller amount items
I discovered that there was no way to turn off auto-renewal myself, either in their app or on their website. It just was not possible. I had to call customer service and speak to a rep to first turn off auto-renewal and then downgrade from Plus.
I will say that the CS rep was great, but having to go through this at all is BS.
I have turned off auto renewal on their website in then past. It was hidden were discreetly.

I'm sure shipping costed them a lot. But their logistics never made sense me to me. We have had several items ordered under one big order and those morons would mail me each smaller items in huge boxes individually via FedEx & sometimes FedEx would deliver those items from same warehouse same day in large boxes all paid separately. I could never figure out why they couldn't be smart about shipping together to save on shipping costs!

This would be incredibly inconvenient
