Thanks for replying. Looks like it only works with T-Mobile postpaid SIM card.

The $75/mo plan comes with 1 month amazon prime. Phone unlocks 12 months after activation. If you're already a metro user, add a second line and bring you own number will cost $35.

There's a soft credit pull at checkout. Each person/address is limited to 2 metro devices. Dealing with metro can be a great pain cause their cs are useless.
nevermind

What happens to Amazon Prime after 1 month?

If you don't renew the phone plan amazon prime gets cancelled automatically.

this is a better phone than the Moto Power 5G, especially with the camera.

Can someone confirm or explain the T-Mobile postpaid thing like I'm stupid?

Based on some of the comments, it sounds like you can just grab a promo phone with metro and the first month service, then simply slap your T-Mobile post paid sim in and be good to go despite the network lock, then eventually get the full unlock? I haven't ever gone for any of these buy prepaid for the phone then stash away until unlock eligible type deals so trying to wrap my head around this.

With this phone for example...I could pay the $99+$75 for the new number deal. Activate it if needed, and since metro is T-Mobile, just stick my T-Mobile post paid in and end up ultimately the same for $175 vs the regular $299 for the phone thru T-Mobile?

Just port in a number from tello or something cheap. Spending $99 doesn't make sense.

It's the same as the T-Mobile version, just different bloatware. MetroPCS screwed up pretty bad and gave me like 3m of free service. Just letting that ride before using my T-Mobile card.

does it apply to cancelled lines?

Dude, why paying $99? Just get a Google Voice number for free and pay $3 to unlock it so that you can port it into Metro for this free phone with a 1 month $75 phone plan. This phone will work with the T-Mobile postpaid SIM regardless if this phone is unlocked or locked. I bought it 10 days ago with a GV number portin for $75 only.

Hey does this phone work with T-Mobile Prepaid? I know it works with T-Mobile Postpaid. One person here tried with T-Mobile Prepaid SIM and it didn't work. I wonder why?

I didn't have any service for the first month and complained. They gave me service for the inconvenience.
