They give you a black spout that can also help open the top when you turn the cup upside down but it sucks at that job. Perfectly fine as a pouring tool though

You don't need to mix the paint every time you need to add paint to the paint tray. You mix the paint the first time put this on. When you are done at the end of the day or project you put the paint lid back on.
