I got the Bellin BoostCharge Pro 2 in 1 Qi2 and it's been nice. Their Qi2 products I believe are all circular with rounded edges. If you see an edge, then it's a previous gen charger

So is there much of a difference between the Belkin gen 2 and the Anker model? I have several of the gen 1 Belkins, and would really like fast charging for my Apple Watch Ultra.

I have had this for a year or so now and it's really good and charges the phone/watch significantly faster than the cheaper one I keep on my desk. As others said though, the AirPod area is so finicky. If you have a newer AirPod with MagSafe though you can put it on the phone spot if not using it at the time. With that said, I look forward to them doing a version where all three are MagSafe and it doesn't overheat like can happen with the AirPod spot now.

It's not that much of a difference for your current life I'd think. The biggest benefits rn is magsafe (it's aligned a little differently i believe.) and higher speeds for Android. The future would be devices built for qi2 standard I'd say. I'm not super knowledgeable on it but I say this is a bad price for a non-qi2 since qi2 should be hitting this price by now or soon.
