Although a good deal, I'm now a Southwest GC snob and wait for the $400 deal.

I've bought about 8 of 10 of these gift cards over time and love saving the money... But have also noticed some weird price action with Southwest over the last 6 months or so. Like not releasing "wanna get away" tickets to popular destinations until closer to travel dates.

They used to release all tickets on day 1 of release dates, about 6 months in advance is travel but that seems to be changing some... Just my anecdotal observation with booking my trip to Punta Cana this October.

They will credit you the difference if it's been less than 30 days. I did that last time they had this deal--got the credit within a couple days. There's a contact form on their web site:

Here's another incident, not sure if being 400-500 feet is more terrifying over land or water.

Def over land is scarier. Far more potential casualties. Of course Slick will delete these comments because a pilot not knowing they're merely 500ft above a city is important to know.

How often does a $400 come up?
Trying to decide if it's worth the wait for me.
Looks like I got the $420 last month.

SW so expensive the free bag allowance is an obvious gimmick

Add the fact that "loyalty "/ A list doesn't mean sh*t anymore because people abuse preboarding and reserve seats against policy (that in flight crew don't seem to want to enforce )
