These are really loud. Can hear it tick even if the room is not dead quiet. Not as loud as a wall clock, but louder than a watch should be, even at this price.

I passed on this watch based on reviews saying the same thing. A shame really, looks great for the money.

Great watch for a backup. Pairs nice with an orange strap. I throw one of these in my travel with it stopped so to conserve battery and stop it from the loud ticking. Had to use it one time for a day long hike on a trip because I didn't want my main watch to get beat up.

I've found it extremely difficult to replace batteries in Timex watches -- very hard to close the back cover once opened!

Not what I think of as gunmetal but w/e, haven't worn it much but so far no loss of color/chipping.

Pros: it is metal, feels solid.
Cons: it is metal, feels heavy.

Will want another band if planning to use outside ; sweating does a real number on it (leather).

& the $31 price tag is the normal low for the item. It's been this price 2 times before in this year (Feb & April).
