Yes -- your card stays the same as long as you keep it open

Your cash back percent just changes depending on if you have Prime or not
It's 2 days away. Are you saying there aren't Black Friday sales being posted earlier than Black Friday? Of course there are.
I got approved. After being denied for years. I'm sure it has been said. But the key is you have to not apply for other cards for a certain time. Even if you have 850 credit. I was pre approved back in March. But I waited until til the $200 gift card hit to apply. Good luck guys.

As long as you're ok with the credit inquiry, no need to cancel, just shred after you're approved if you prefer not to use it. Chase will close it for you after 12 months of inactivity

Thank you!! 🙏

Even after having it open for a while?
I think closing it has no direct impact, only indirect impact by changing the average age of accounts, changing the credit composition, changing your credit utilization, etc. If you have other Chase cards, you can transfer the credit limit around to minimize the change in your total credit.

Said I pre-qualified. Then I applied and now says wait 30 days and we will send you a letter. Need more to identity verification lol.

In all fairness I only have one credit card but still don't pre qualify me if you gonna give me the run around.

Is this credit hit worth it?
I have prime membership, but my spend is less than $1000 a year.

So you have to have a Prime membership for the 5% but what if I cancel my prime trial in a few weeks?

$200 + $50 per year in cash back in exchange for a modest and temporary hit to your credit score seems like a no brainer to me.

I've had this Prime Visa for a while, and I thought it was a pretty good card. That was until yesterday, when I found out that Chase had added 10 authorized users to my account without even notifying me. I was on the phone with customer support for hours in which they kept trying to teach me to not click on facebook links and give out my information. They ended up giving my access to another persons credit card/checking/brokerage. Has me cautious about recomending this chase card.

Thank you for posting this! My credit is garbage but somehow I was approved. My credit limit isn't the best but it was worth it just for the $200 gift card. This just made my day!

Terrible deal. Who would sign up for a chase credit card for only $200? People need to look up credit card churning. Look into chase Sapphire. Also, Chase has a 5/24 rule so don't waste it on a pitiful $200 bonus.
Agree. So many rookies downvoting this.

The REAL SD is getting the Chase Ink Cash for the $750 signup bonus. Then use the card at OfficeMax/Depot for the 5x points on all purchases which includes Amazon gift cards.

Aside from other unrelated but better CC signup bonus offers, this seems like a no brainer for me to switch from the regular Amazon store card with the flat 5% off Amazon but no other utility. To this Chase version with a free $200 up front, and some other utility and occasional 10% off offers. We get some of those too with the store card, but doesn't look like as much to me.

I think I may have to jump on that Ink Cash signup as well. Always been afraid apply for business cards, but I think I understand how to get it now. I am not a crazy card churner, so not at all concerned about the 5/24 rule.
