I bought the bigger refurbished River Pro 2 months back and has been working flawless. Also, it has a 5-year warranty.

I have bought a couple and couldn't tell any difference in the product versus new. I have had no issues so far. Refurb doesn't always mean the thing is broken or blew up. People always mention that the refurb stuff from most companies have a higher quality assurance than new items.

I bought one of these units refurb a few months ago and probably paid more. It's been a solid device so far. Can get your feet wet and see if it blows up for a small price! lol

Has anyone had experience using this with one of their solar panels? They have a combo with a 110W panel or I could get the power unit and a 160W panel separately. Thoughts?

Sorry if I missed it but does this thing have enough juice to run a sump pump during a power outage?
Depending on how many amps needed for your pump, this may or may not work, however from my personal experience, I would not rely on ECOFLOW devices to plug my primary sump pump....specially if you dont have a secondary battery back up running on another outlet.

I bought ECOFLOW DELTA 2 to run my primary as AC passthrough when power is available and run on battery when power is not available...suddenly one night my secondary battery pump started beeping and I noticed that DELTA 2 AC outlets were not working for primary, tried everything, and find out that this is a common issue with ECOFLOW DELTA that AC will abruptly stop working

Last question of the day - can this be charged by Solar while also being used at the same time?? (Powering things in a shed during the day while sun is charging it)

This is only a 256Wh unit, so a 110W panel could in theory fully charge it in just over 2 hours, which is a good place to be for solar input vs battery capacity.. it can take more, but probably not worth the added cost.

Of course.. it'd be stupid if you couldn't.

Not really, these aren't necessarily quick enough for 'uninterrupted' switchover when power fails - but some devices can take their ~30ms switchover. Battery capacity is much higher, but output power (watts) is also limited vs most UPSs. If you plan on having >250W connected, get a 1500VA UPS rather than this.

Yes, it has a dedicated charging rail. Dedicated 12v rail and dedicated 120v rail.

Edit: and there are 3 corresponding push buttons on the front of the unit, enabling you to turn on and off these rails as you wish.

i'm not the one who asked but the question about charging and using is not a dumb question though. i believe at least one model from Jackery couldn't do it and people on youtube were complaining. I agree that it's pretty dumb but apparently Jackery advised against using it that way as it would damage the battery. haven't followed up and not sure what the current situation is for the latest generation but do recall reviewers complaining.

I take it to music festival camping. It charges my phone, tool batteries for the fan.
This. For Coachella it's a lifesaver. Pumps up your airbed, keeps a fan on for circulation, and can charge multiple phones / tablets if needed.

Depends on what devices you're plugging into it, because this is not a UPS. More specifically, it is not an "Uninterruptible" Power Supply. It is an EPS, or Emergency Power Supply. According to Ecoflow, the delay on this thing when the power shuts off is about 30ms (milliseconds), whereas the delay on a proper UPS is basically zero. That's why proper UPS's are more expensive; the electronics required to pull that off are not cheap or simple.

If your electronics can handle that 30ms delay then this will work fine. But I have no clue what devices can or can't handle that. I'd say buy one and find out; flip your circuit breaker and see if your devices keep working. And then come back and let me know, because I'm very interested in whether or not this thing can back up my homelab! 😆
60hz transfer on one cycle is 16.67ms, UPS aren't instantaneous they're usually rated around 15ms, however transfer switches for commercial are often rated for max 25ms, 30ms is pretty close and some power supplies can handle it. If you want to be sure get some that are rated below 20ms.

No. Way too small of a unit.

No, it's limited to 8A (100w).

Most cars don't even support 300w, are you sure your device pulls that much?
