I bought this same bundle the last time the price was this low. It is a very nice device, and the main reason I bought it was for the pen functionality. Drawing and sketching is very nice, with varied weight and thickness depending on pressure, very similar to using a pencil or pen on paper; though, still a digital experience. As well, the writing is very close to analog. Which is the second reason I bought it; I wanted to have a natural writing experience, over typing. My biggest gripe of this device is that they took encryption away. At least I read Kindle's information used to be encrypted. With that privacy issue, the freedom allowed by the natural aspects of the pen are greatly reduced for me. I had plans to used this extensively for personal notes, drawing, sketches and design, but I hardly use it for anything but reading any more. If encryption came back and I knew everything was truly private, this would be a fantastic device.

This is really tempting. Other than notations, can anyone tell me how else they're using the writing pen? Already have a paperwhite which has been fine as a reader.

This is a great deal especially if you have a qualifying trade for another 20% off. Also if you have a qualifying Discover Card to use they are giving back $20 on a $20 Amazon purchase today only. The folio cover folds into a nice stand for easier reading.

Add a new Discover card as payment method and check out with it.

My Discover is already there, so no go for me. It has to be a new card or one you removed before 6-23 I believe.

This is super YMMV and I haven't been able to get it to duplicate but I ordered this bundle today for $208. There is a 15% off code for Kindles (KINDLE2024). I added a standard scribe to my cart and used the coupon, then I went back, added the bundle and a trade in (Old Kids Fire Tablet) to get the 20% discount. So I ended up getting a 15% and 20% discount stacked. Tried it again this afternoon and couldn't get it to work so the loophole may be closed.

Awesome! Wasn't sure if the issue was I had already used the code on another purchase. Heck of a deal for around $200 +/- whatever your trade is.

Code seemed to work on my prime account and didn't work on my regular account so maybe the code only works for Prime members?!

20% off doesn't seem to work. It's only usable once trade in is completed?

What does this do that a tablet with a pen can't do? The battery life is way better than this and the ink display is different. Seems expensive for a narrow use tablet.
