Are these really heavy duty ? I have 2 Costco heavy duty lifetime warranty 100 ft burst under the hot sun in the last 6 months. Meanwhile, those Sears black rubber one I got like 10 years ago still holding strong.

Beware of the aluminum coupling cold welding to your brass hose bib and unfortunately they aren't the only hose manufacturer pulling this bullshit lately. Their ad copy says brass female coupling, but product photo and customer reviews with photos would indicate otherwise.

Yep. Those were good times. Sears points mania let me score so many craftsman tools / hoses. I've had a hose in my MN backyard for almost 10 years. It still works like new (more grey than black now, though).

I bought one of these 5 years ago when we moved into our current house and it's been working just fine. Used at least 100 times and no cracks or leaks whatsoever. But I don't store it outside 365 days a year like some of the people here apparently do. It only takes like 30 seconds to disconnect it, coil it up and toss it in the garage. C'mon, stop being lazy guys.
Thinking the same thing . What's with all these northern people leaving their hose connected over winter so they are cold welded with brass spigot ? Fully drain and disconnect when it's time. If needed re attach and disconnect until spring

I have this hose. It's a good hose for $20. The lifetime warranty makes it an easy buy in my opinion. This hose is ideal for use with a hose reel. I've had to claim the warranty once (My dog bit a few holes in it and I brought it back for pinhole leaks. All they did was ask me what was wrong with it and I told them it leads. They said okay and it was treated just as a full refund or if without receipt, an exact replacement. Or if you want to size up to 100 ft, you'll just pay the difference. Basically paying $20 for a lifetime warranty of this hose. What's not to like

The only brand I've bought so far where I had issues with the threads getting stuck, and no markings on it so once you forget what brand it was you're not going to replace it

I have two of the 50ft OG Sears black rubber hoses, great hoses but they do constantly bleed black onto my hands. Small price to pay for a good hose.

As far as the issues of corrosion causing two dissimilar metals to galvanically corrode, this is easily prevented by just smearing some dielectric grease on the spigot. Or just crack the hose connection loose every other time to keep it from seizing.

I always keep the packaging in a safe place-makes warranty replacement easy peasy

I used a pair of long skinny pruning scissors to trim out the spine on a hose that had this issue.
Yes, eventually I used similar…..then needed to use very thin needle nose pliers to pull out what was cut. Whatever you use has to be VERY skinny to fit in the interior of the hose.

I think possibly a Dremel with a grinding tool may work as well as long as you don't grind down too far.

Lol I think we all have the craftsman hoses. Mine are still holding strong after years in the south Florida sun.

Yep, I bought one a couple years ago. The worst hose I've ever had. Literally kinks with any movement. People buy these thinking "well the name can't be a complete lie, can it?" It is.

Wait hoses have lifetime warranty? I've been replacing my hose just about every 2 years. This brand too. What do I do just bring it back to Lowe's?

I actually have 100ft total that I purchased from Aldi. About 5 years now.

They should warn you what the weight is going to be when you're pulling it around the yard full of water. 💀

Once it happens to you, you'll never buy another that's aluminum. Just cut one off last week.

I use the Stainless-Steel Hose from Bionic, great anti-kinking and lightweight, but the water flow is severely limited since inner diameter was very small like a bit over a 5/16 drill bit and takes forever to water gardens. Had to switch it for a Flexzilla.
Bionic has a 5/8 inner diameter. I got the cheaper Unywarse that has a 3/4 inner diameter.
