Yes, you should be worried as the drone would be banned from using FCC spectrum nationwide. No one is sure how existing drones will be curtailed to use the spectrum (Maybe it will be in spirit and the existing drones can fly without a hiccup) but Iwould personally not buy a drone myself until further clarity is provided about the ban

Really good deal. I just got this (but the "Fly More" combo). Love it so far, but it's also my 1st drone. The obstacle avoidance is very impressive.

This particular package comes with the standard size battery, which is actually what you want if you want to stay under the 250g limit (where u don't have to register it). The Fly More combo comes with the extended battery, which adds ~3-4 min of Fly time, but pushes it past 250g, triggering the broadcast ID feature, and requiring registration.

You're right. The "Fly More Combo" is 3 regular batteries. The "Fly More Combo Plus" has 3 extended "plus" batteries.

Personally, I think the upgrade to the RC 2 controller so you don't have to use your phone every time is worth it.

Don't be ridiculous. I have a Mavic 3 Pro, not interested that much in the Minis. I didn't recommend anything to the OP, just wanted to point out a reason why some people don't move off their current Mini 3 Pro. I bought the Mini 4 Pro earlier this year but only to give it away since I have quite a few drones and they are all on O3 so I'm not ready to leap. This includes Avata so I haven't yet picked up the Avata 2 yet. Obviously if you were buying today and you have no drones, I would recommend the Avata 2 and the Mini 4 over the Avata and the Mini 3 but I have RC Pro and a ton of Mini 3 batteries, it doesn't make sense for me. I have nearly a dozen Avata batteries and I have the FPV....so I'm just not ready especially with O4 reports being iffy. If the FPV2 comes soon, then I have a case. Obviously if the guy has to option to pack it up and return it, no problem but I only read the reply email and it make it sounds like a landslide when it isn't....it's a small improvement. I got my Mini 3 Pro on day one so it is absolutely ridiculous to think I would know the Mini 4 Pro comes at some point. When I first heard the rumors, I made it a point to skip it at that time so long time ago.

Let's be honest, there will be no SDK for Mini 4 and you know it. Just like my Mavic 3 Pro won't get one.

Honestly I will never get a Mini 4 Pro and at this point, it's too late. I have to wait for the Mini 5. I'm skipping Air 3 as well and glad I did (for the same reason) but Air3S/4 is coming soon so we'll see. Honestly, I'm just waiting on Mavic 4 Pro and hope it beats the ban deadline.
Please don't get passive aggressive. The OP only mentioned that he cares for you and your situation and extended an arm to soothe your agony. It is heart breaking for all of us who are reading your comments on how you are justifying your purchase with batteries, SDK, and showing off how many drones you have. No one is trying to make you feel less, we are a great community at Slickdeals and we would like to keep it as such without getting into petty arguments.

Don't take our advise to others to go for the better drone personally as you don't have it, can't afford it or don't want to buy it. It was just meant to be a good advise for another poster and not a dig at you. Everyone's economic situation is different. Some people want absolute best and some people are happy with Mini 2 SE. what you don't want to be doing is to be that guy who says my Corolla is better then your Porsche as I can do mods and have SDK's for my car. People can see through the argument and feel your pain.

We are happy you have so many old drones, keep flying them. Stay safe, be happy and seek help in case you are feeling sad about your purchase.

At this moment of time anyone recommending Mini 3 Pro is someone who already has it and is trying to justify his purchase.

No worries, it's good to see you now realize how ridiculous your comment was about why someone would recommend the m3p over the m4p and you want to pretend like it meant nothing i.e. I don't need to justify my purchases; none of us do here at SD.

And your comparisons to cars is tired. The pain I'm feeling is having to listen to you talk about cars like that as if there is some sort of established hierarchy.

Other than that, I'm fine. It's not about me. I'm busy working thru the ban details, you keep patronizing and talking about drones as if nobody knows anything about them except you.

Is this better than the pro 2 for photography? Primarily concerned with image quality.

Would you guys rather have this from Costco or keep the regular Mini 3 with RC controller with built in screen for $429 from previous slick deal ? Thanks
the only reason why I would upgrade to Mini 4 is the better transmission (O4 vs O3) protocol. In my 2 years of owning Mini 3 pro, It has had its struggles with losing signal specially in heavily populated areas, and I even had couple of close calls in not so heavily populated area but random signal drops which put the drone in the RTH mode. I really wish Mini 3 pro had better signal quality otherwise its a great drone.

Thought Congress was implementing a law banning the purchase of drones made by DJI...

Could also buy direct from the DJI the refurbished unit for similar price, the entire bundle for $746.
I recently bought the Fly more combo with RC2 controller (w/ screen) for $880 (DJI refurb). Unit came like new with all the new accessories. Added 2 year care refresh. Total $1004. 1% DJI credit and 2% cashback at certain not-retail-me website.
Units come in and out of stock. No brainer.

I had my eye on this about a week ago but it looks like it's now out of stock unfortunately. Pretty good price if everything is in like-new condition.

Is this new Costco deal for the Mini 4 Pro a sale price or just a newly available item? I see the original post states that the price was $905.99, but I don't see that price on the Costco website. What I'm getting at is if 749.99 is the regular price, then there's a chance it goes even lower if it goes on sale.

It is a newly available item from Costco. So yes I'd say there's a chance it goes lower on sale. And think that's what I'm waiting for. If I can wait...
