Please be advised that the extended warranty that Costco provides is not what you might think. The second year of an applicance warranty may be provided, but it is through manufacturer providing it and having some appliance company doing the work. I reported my faulty 20 month old Whirlpool refer 4 weeks ago today, and there is Costco, Whirlpool and an a repair comnpany involved! Today another part was found to be faulty, was ordered and should be in 3-5 business days to get, then the the repair needs to be scheduled. Therefore, I could be into a sixth week before this POS is fixed! As a 16 year Executive Member I am absolutely floored that Costco would allow such poor service!! Ever go 6 weeks without your kitchen fridge/freezer (and ice) when the temps are in the high 80s and lower 90s?

FWIW we've had a 2022 LG Refrigerator for the last two years and it's been great.

I personally do not recommend anyone bother with connecting the water/ice dispensers - as they're the most common cause of issues/damage/failure on any fridge - of any brand.

I have this fridge and its been solid so far (about 2 years). Love the outside water dispenser without the icemaker. Had so many problems with both a Samsung and Frigidaire that had the icemaker along with water dispenser. It still makes Ice, but dispenses it into a bucket in the freezer. Highly recommend purchasing this type of fridge regardless of manufacturer. On a side note, there is no ThinQ connection on this fridge.

I have a thinQ frig I believe a 29cf max counter depth that is almost a year old. Very happy with the dual ice makers and water through the door👍

I had an lg fridge that lasted 3 years before the motor blew. We had warranty and they came to replace it and again it lasted 3 years. So we got 6 years out of an lg fridge. I probably stay away from the Lg brand next time

Hey this is my exact fridge. Bought this in Nov 2021 for 1768 after tax, took delivery in March 2022.

So far this fridge has been pretty great aside from an ice machine issue that got repaired within a week of delivery.

Pros
1. Both doors have plenty of space for condiments, milk, etc.
2. The fridge has a ton of space of the inside
3. Cold and has a solid build, not wobbly at all.
4. Plenty of ice all the time
5. LG has been really good about questions and repairs

Cons
1. The water machine on the front shoots out like a jet so sometimes you gotta clean up some droplets that didn't make it in the cup
2. Freezer looks big but feels small

Hate to break it to you, but the majority of appliance warranty repairs are done by a third party. Has nothing to do with being 2nd year by Costco. And unless the issue is incredibly common, parts just have to be ordered. appliances have too many variables of what could be wrong. It's not like warranty repair for your TV.

Best thing I can say about my LG fridge is that it was nice enough to die shortly before the 5 year parts and labor warranty passed. Got repaired under warranty for free but still expect it to die again sooner rather than later.

As far as I can tell almost all French door fridges last only 5 years at best like the poster above me said. So far I've gone through two. Luckily the second one failed just before the 5 year warranty so it will last maybe another 4 years or so. (Problem is the condenser or whatever stops cooling)

While my two door white garage fridge ge still going strong after almost 30 years.
