Do not use in heavy rain. Seams and more specifically the window T bars to hold store the windows leak through the stitched seams. Each side of my tent had a puddle in the morning.

Like all tents, seam sealer should always be applied. Even the really expensive pricey tents will leak through the seams given enough exposure to rain/water. Once you use the seam sealer, you shouldn't see a leak even with this $89 Coleman!

I've had this tent for a couple years. Ventilation is terrible and condensation inside the tent gets pretty bad. You will definitely see water buildup on the inside walls if you camp in cold-ish weather.

Solid price but unspectacular. The average price Amazon has sold this for in the last 180 days is $114.31. So the MSRP is super inflated.

It's like wearing two condoms, you'll stay dry in the rain but all that extra weight feels like nothing important.

This is not waterproof as stated, you will have to buy rainfly separately.

I bought the 8-person version of this in 2015 and use it a couple times a year. I can get my tent up in less time than most other campers take assembling their poles.

I've been in light rain with it and had no leaks. If I expect heavy rain, I cover it with the rain fly (sold separately).

Does anyone know if this would be sturdy enough in high-wind situations? Or have one you'd recommend as an alternative. TIA

I can't get over the picture with the couple (presumably photoshopped to be) "assembling" it, when the center height as listed is 4'11".

Sooo... based on that image's perspective, she's like MAYBE 4' tall and he might be all of 5' tall???? lmao

The image with the assembled tent by the lakeshore is a lot more realistic for perspective with actual people :p

Why not just use seam seal before storm camping? $10 a tube and only takes a few hours to dry. Permanent fix.

I concur. Steam seal will make it completely waterproof. However, rain fly is a better bet given that it helps condensation from dripping on to you. I do both.

This is not intended to be an endorsement of the tent or of Ollie's, but if you have one near you and in stock, it looks like it's $60 until EOD,

During heavier rains, I've had a small amount of water leak through the door where the side and bottom zippers meet. Usually that's due to someone (my kids) not making sure the zipper cover is in place.
