Without realizing the difference between Costo version ($499) of TP-Link Deco BE11000 [costco.com] and Best Buy version ($599) of TP-Link Deco BE11000 [bestbuy.com], Best Buy price matched and successfully placed an order.

Found out that Costo version is BE65 and Best Buy version is BE65 Pro. Difference between these two are highlighted in here [techdecode.co.za].

Good luck.

OP, the comparison site is wrong. BE65 is not 9.2Gbps vs 11Gpbs for the pro. Here are the specs from TP Link directly

BE65 ()https://www.tp-link.com/us/deco-m...deco-be65/:
11 Gbps Tri-Band WiFi – 5760 Mbps (6 GHz) + 4320 Mbps (5 GHz) + 574 Mbps (2.4 GHz).

BE65 Pro (https://www.tp-link.com/us/deco-m...-be65-pro/):
11 Gbps Tri-Band WiFi – 5764 Mbps (6 GHz) + 4324 Mbps (5 GHz) + 688 Mbps (2.4 GHz).

Besides the slight bump on the 2.4GHz channel, the only benefit the Pro seems to have is the 5Gbps ports, which is going to be useless to most people. I would rather take the 1 extra 2.5Gbps port that the non pro model has. If you have 5Gbps internet, you are most likely going to go with a higher end mesh setup that this one.

Also, it is very likely that the Costco one will go on sale for $350 to $400 this year considering $500 is the retail price. I will definitely jump on it at those prices.

Thanks for the data. I was looking at the difference and 5Gbps ports, honestly, do me no good as I'm limited by 5e/6 cabling in my house and my main server is a stack of spinners. I'm curious if the TP-Link software is any good. I've got a Netgear Orbi system and it's underwhelming, plus there's a constant upsell / gatekeeping of features only available via their paid cloud services.

Thanks for pointing out the differences! I'm currently on a 1Gbps internet plan, so this router is definitely more than I need right now. However, I'm hoping that the cost of 5Gbps internet will come down in the next few years, so I can make full use of the 5Gbps ports.Big Grin

Do mesh systems do better at longevity? My mid-range ($100-200) routers always seem to die after 2-3 years of use, requiring reboots every couple of days or having parts of it stop working completely. It's not a dust/heat problem either - I just took apart my most recent dying one to clean out the dust and it was totally clean inside.

Can someone recommend a good router in the price range of $100-$200?

What switches even support 5gbps ports? I've only seen 2.5 gbps and 10gbps.

Fyi these are junk, there is a reason that the higher end mesh 6e kits are even still 500+ that have multiple multi gig ports for dedicated backhaul.

Tp link should stick to cheapo 5 port switches and USB chargers lol

Need to wait for the bq16 pro price to come down next year to switch to 7. (Be33000 at Best buy for 3 pack)

People that call things "junk" but are too lazy to actually back up that claim with reasons/evidence are just trolls. Happens all the time. The only thing that's junk is that post.
