Can this be used in 220V? If so, does Amp rating stay the same?
12 gauge is good for max 20 Amp pull on 120v. At 240v, I would not pull more than 15 amps, even though code allows up to 20amp as well. presuming all copper metal. I rewired an entire house in Philippines which delivers 240v. 12/3 runs all the way through. 10-15 breakers.

I bought a couple of Ridgid 50-footer a few years ago. They are extremely pliable and lay flat.
I agree here, bought the 50 as well in a pinch, the pliable nature of the cord made me love it. I often get similar comments from people who use it. Had it for years, still going strong. There is a line on mine, so you can loop it/train it and keep it from twisting over time.

You absolutely can have too much cord. Resistance, with its accompanying heat and voltage drop, goes up linearly with length. So the longer the cord, the worse your equipment will perform and you might have excessive heat build up, especially if you haven't uncoiled the excess length that you don't need.

Always buy and use the shortest cord that will get the job done.
That additional heat is due to the increased resistance which is due to the longer length. While there is more heat generated it is dissipated over a longer length of cord. Bottom line is that the extension cable will be roughly the same temperature.

Not if it remains coiled. And resistance increases with temperature as well, so the longer you use it, the worse it can get. As a cord heats up, it's resistance increases, causing even more voltage drop and heat build up. It is just not a good idea to use a cord longer than you need to if you are anywhere close to it's maximum capacity.

Probably, but it's a very good quality extension cord.

Have an outdoor grill that has these requirements for an extension cord, will this cord suffice ?

When using an extension cord it must be specific for use outdoors and must have a "W" marking and
tag stating: SUITABLE FOR USE WITH OUTDOOR APPLIANCES. Extension cord shall not exceed
25-feet maximum and no less than 14-guage.

Yes, this extension cord would be ideal for that use.

So if I needed 100ft, and purchased 4 of these and linked them together, would I run into safety or use issues? Just thinking a few 25ft cords would be more versatile, and I could always link them together if I needed more length
