Oh man, Turok was the first game to give me crippling headaches and nausea. I wonder how it holds up these days.

I absolutely loved Turok (and sequels) when they came out but pretty confident there is no way they hold up to my nostalgia so not going to even try lol.

This has been the case for almost any of those older games for me sadly.

also kind of crazy that the regular price for this is $20!

Surprised it is rated "M" for mature. I could have sworn it was rated "T" for Teen as a kid. I was going to buy it for my 12 year old but I can't remember how violent it was.

I tried it on the 17+ N64 app and couldn't control it at all. The dual joystick controller confuses me, I want to play it like a modern day shooter and it just doesn't work like that.

I loved Turok 1 and 2….but they really didn't age well. On so many levels.

Hmm 🤔 Not sure what may be going on. I'm still able to see it for $4.99 on my end. Is it down for others too?

Same. I was fine with Goldeneye, but not sure why it was so bad with Turok. Haven't touched FPS ever since.

Turock was the first $79.99 N64 game, today that's $150.00.

Not a bad price but can be obtained cheaper for PC

I think in terms of controls/gunplay they're fine (especially now with dual analog support). They're just very non-linear and require a lot of exploration which is pretty rare in modern FPS.

The Turok remasters on Switch are great - feel a bit like proto Metroid Prime in terms of their movement. Don't bother with the Nintendo Switch Online version as it seems the controls are broken and it has less QoL improvements.

Is this remastered or emulated like Nintendo Online N64?
