Oh man, Turok was the first game to give me crippling headaches and nausea. I wonder how it holds up these days.

I absolutely loved Turok (and sequels) when they came out but pretty confident there is no way they hold up to my nostalgia so not going to even try lol.

This has been the case for almost any of those older games for me sadly.

also kind of crazy that the regular price for this is $20!

I tried it on the 17+ N64 app and couldn't control it at all. The dual joystick controller confuses me, I want to play it like a modern day shooter and it just doesn't work like that.
I tried to play it on a logitech gplay, and i was unable to get through the beginning of the 1st level. I gave up after a half hour. And all the turok games are like that. Bummer...

And it played great on low-end hardware (486, 8 meg of ram, not gig...megabits). Couldn't you change the blood color to green so it could be rated+sold as Teen?

No love for Shadow Man?

The game came out when the modern internet was a baby and that game was insane on every level. I could never figure out what to do. A friend printed out a guide and people who mastered it without guides are super human. A game that needs more love. I remember many after schools watching him / watching the game.

everytime I went to gamestop and looked through the used videogames section, There were always MULTIPLE copies of used TUROK for n64.

I remember one time I counted like 8. I lived in palm desert, ca.

I had Turok and Shadowman back in the day. Spent well over $100 on them. I'll spend under $20 for the nostalgia.

What is the "17+ N64 app"?

You were likely playing a rom of the original N64 version which did have wonky controls. This remaster has standard dual analog controls.

Surprised it is rated "M" for mature. I could have sworn it was rated "T" for Teen as a kid. I was going to buy it for my 12 year old but I can't remember how violent it was.
It was probably so violent that your brain blocked out the trauma to save itself.
