You can always use half of the spice pack. Use the second half with cheap ramen or in a different dish. If the soup tastes too diluted, add a bit of better than bouillon base to enrich the flavor. Just a suggestion.

I love Shin Red. It's one of my favorites and I actually prefer it over Shin Black. It is spicy but not Buldak spicy.

My brand for at least the past ten years. The best. Can be a full meal when you add shrimp, eggs, or any number of proteins. As for too spicy, just use half the spice in the pack, or less.

add me to the "like red better than black" group. cheaper, and i like the flavor better. pre-cooked chicken chunks and frozen broccoli go good in it, too. good price, here.

great price for a good instant ramen. I personally prefer the flavor of Sapporo Ichiban but this is still a good tasting ramen.

I agree with others I think I prefer Buldak over this as well and their 2X spicy is a bit too much but the regular spicy is really good. Haven't tried the creamy carbonara flavor which seems to be very popular.

Unpopular opinion, but I think the original (Red) is much better than the Black. I'd rate the Gold above the Black (just below the Red)

The original has a nice Spicy flavor whereas the black definitely tames that down and goes for more of a beef flavor with almost a creamy texture. It definitely doesn't do it for me, and after getting familiar with the red one it feels like the black is almost a cheapened version of it.

I never understood the "spicyness" that people get from either version though. Going by some of the comments, it would have you believe you're in for a bad time with the Shin Ramens. As a middle aged white guy, I only get a very slight bit of spice to it, nothing I would really call "spicy". Buldak, especially the 2x and 3x? those are spicy. But I'd say this one feels similar to the "safe-Spicy" that mainstream food brands try to use to introduce new products like chips or soups

I just bought two cases yesterday at Costco for $15.99 each. Just a heads up as my local Costco doesn't always carry it.

Too late lol. I'll save it for when I have a cold.
I like to add a little leftover sliced pork loin in there and adding the meat seams to cut the heat for me.

There is no contest. No rival. Nothing similar to coming remotely close to Shin Ramen. This ramen is the best ramen in every occasion, for anyone. Korean ramens are the best ramens.
