Have to Verify identity on Total by uploading ID to third party and face picture with port number. They have better phones like Galaxy A54 if gonna do all that.

FYI if you have a Dish PG Rainbow SIM from their hotspot or S22 or whatever it was, it'll work in Boost locked phones. I've been running mine in a Boost G Sty 22 for a year and a half or so.

In case you folks aren't aware, Xfiniity mobile is giving this phone away with one year FREE service for subscribers..What I find odd about it they use the CDMA network of Verison and this phone is GSM..When I asked the Xfinity rep why that is, she had no clue..Regardless, this is an entry level phone running an outdated version of Android and is research is correct, it will not receive Android 14
CDMA and GSM went away a couple years ago, now it's all LTE or 5G and different bands for different carriers, or the same bands for some, and most modern phones support all of the bands, except a couple that Dish own/use.

Love these Deals! I prefer using android phones for my kids to use instead of IPADs because they are so much cheaper and portable and I control the internet with wifi hotspot access vs them using the SIM, i just throw the sims out and never renew the service, in some cases I've gotten phones at $1(some Tax) to $20. Thanks for another backup phone Smilie

Boost locked phone wont auto unlock if you are not actively using it, I had to call in to request unlock, and the customer service did not know what to do

T-Mobile could always be unlocked. VZ was a no, not sure about today.

DS emulation will be fine. PS2 and Switch are the ones that need faster hardware. I even had DS (drastic) on my 2015 kindle fire.
Not necessarily true. The SD6 Gen 1 is close in performance to 855 and the 855 can do most of PS2 and Gamecube.

That is true for all iPhones (12+) and the recent flagship Samsung S series phones.

Most moto 5G and other lower-end Samsung 5G phones today are still either GSM-only or both.

What's about controller? I find it is very hard to play PS2, GameCube on a smartphone.

Let me know which bands this phone doesn't support that US carriers use. I'll even give you a link to an easy to read and understand spreadsheet of all of the bands US carriers use... 3G was shutdown by all carriers 1-3 years ago. https://docs.google.com/document/...VYLuzg/pub

That'll also give you another number and phone for another $75 off of gas at Chevron with the app! Pays for itself.

And the plan price would skyrocket. Recently Metro by scam mobile. Jumped from $40 to $80.
