What a waste of time. Only three gift cards mentioned by OP as examples are eligible for 15$ GC. The one with Home Depot is not part of the deal.

It would take some crazy spending at Target to make the 6% from this annual fee card beat the 5% from a free RedCard.

They banned our original Target account that we had for years, the only one at the time. They then "reversed" the decision, but the next time I bought another card boom, banned again. Granted I've bought probably over $6K worth of airbnb cards. New accounts they also banned eventually. I'm pretty sure now the circle bonus no longer applies to gift cards, and honestly the ban is kind of irrelevant since circle deals still auto apply now. I just don't buy anything where I care about circle bucks.

One alert: if you split your purchase between two gift cards or buy one, FYI that Target will discount the purchased gift cards by a prorated amount of the free gift card value and then charge for the free gift card. This will show up on your credit card account as separate purchases.

The last time, I did two $50 gift cards and there were three charges on my credit card:

Two for $42.50 and another for $15.

My total cost was $100 for $100 in gift cards and I received a $15 Target gift card as promised. But when reviewing my credit card account and seeing multiple (3) Target charges, it raised a huge flag until I figured out what the heck they did.

Fwiw...just paying forward the information in case helpful to any others. Not judging good or bad, although not the most customer-friendly.

Purchased a $100 gift card and immediately used it at Cinemark movies. The rest of amount split into Taco bell and Domino's gift cards. The process is a bit tricky as it was the first time for me. Received $15 gift card immediately from Target in email.

$6k? sounds like that's issue. you say "reversed" so what is the reason they gave you? i buy these gc with circle bonuses 2-3 times a year & have never had a prob. this time $15 off + 5% so $80.75 + got the circle $15 reward.
