I'm sorry but I disagree!
There is no way this produces anywhere near the SQ of a $6k traditional speaker setup!
Especially when you consider the content you use with a soundbar!

You give me $1500 and could setup a 5.1 system that would easily surpass the sound quality of this.
It shouldn't be a surprise given they are not meant to compete in that realm and I'm way ahead of the game with content also.

I kinda have to agree.
Far too often people read "Atmos" and automatically think it's better.

Object based surround works on top of your core/base layer setup(5.1).
Far too often people sacrifice the core/base layer to get "Atmos".
Not realizing they actually taking a step back with overall quality of sound.

These alternatives just don't give you what's capable especially when you consider the extra cost to get it!

Especially with these "Atmos" soundbars, you get nothing resembling what Atoms is capable of!

Last year I paid about $1300 for a Sonos setup and frankly I know how folks go "that's too much!"

....MUCH better than my $300~ Vizio set up in a different room. It's the difference between amplified sound and immersive sound.

Never heard this before but if it's like the Sonos setup then for whomever can afford it shoot...they'regoing to get a great experience.

Eh..I bought the bose soundbar 700 (soundbar only) from Costco some months back during sale. It was ok....but then I saw open box deals at Bestbuy and I bought the sonos arc plus mini sub and that combo blew the Bose soundbar away. The sonos arc has much better lows and it sounds more natural than the Bose which is just 'boomy'. I ended up keeping the sonos and returned the Bose back to Costco.

My Samsung was great and I really liked it but it only lasted 18 month's. They were no help trying to get it fixed or money back. I have been rocking my mini Bose Soundbar for 7 years in a different room and it sounds just as good as the day I got it. Sometimes better is hard to quantify or qualify until years later.

Your best bet is a used pair from another 990 system and even then, there is no guarantee they will connect to the bar.
