Every Gretsch I've bought (3 so far) the pictures were far less impressive than the instruments in person. There's an extremely good chance you'll be blown away by how good it looks in person.

10/10. Beautiful guitar. Looks like honey. Sounds beautiful. Great finish, thin neck. Motivates you to play. 100% worth the money. You can send back if you don't like but you won't be sending it back. Trust

Got this guitar at this price when they had this deal back several months ago and I concur that it looks better in person than it does in the pictures. It plays nicely too but I have noticed the broadtrons feel a bit 'lacking' (they just don't sound as full as what I've heard from other Gretsch guitars). I tried the 6-screw mod and honestly not sure how much it really helped if at all. Doing that mod, subjectively and supposedly, the tone clears up... maybe I need to change the strings or play with the pickup height more. I think the 6-screw mod actually lowers the output some. In either case, I may consider swapping out with a filtertron in the future. Another thing that I've heard these can benefit from is changing out the tuners to locking tuners. Mine definitely goes out of tune faster but then again: I should probably change the strings anyway. I think the nut might be plastic as well, so if that's the case then I'd probably look to change that to bone, tusq or graphtec or whatever. The P90 on this guitar sounds really nice otherwise and it's a great value at the pricepoint. I may add a Bigsby in the future too Smilie

I'd say, out of the box, this is a great beginner's guitar and really good for bedroom practice/playing. If you intend to use it live though, I think it needs some work (most or all of those things I mentioned above.. especially the tuners and maybe nut IMO). Once you put some work into it, I think it would play really nicely in a live setting.
Could you please suggest what else besides the guitar itself I need to buy to have a complete beginners set to be played in bedroom not disturbing anyone? Perhaps on Adorama too.

1) guitar
2) amp - Boss Katana Mini, Blackstar Fly 3, Positive Spark Go or headphone amps: Fender Mustang Micro, NUX MP-2
3) guitar cable, check the frontpage for the Fender deal
4) variety pack of picks, Dunlop Tortex is good
5) tuner and metronome - a few of the amps I mentioned have tuner and metronome capabilities otherwise use an app
6) Justin Guitar learning - website is free, app is paid. I use both
