In fact, I prefer to cover the entire window with hose, kinda like a window AC does.
Is the Delonghi better at cooling for the same power, or do some manufacturers hyperinflate the cooling capacity?

From that Hisense eBay listing:
Chase Slate says:

considered used or pre-owned if accompanied by a warranty)

Edit: Midea Site says 9 CEER rating. Looks to be efficient.

The problem with single hose is that it takes that cooled air your AC worked hard on and use it to cool itself. It sucks cool air and expels it outside your house wasting it.
Now your house is a vacuum (negative pressure). This will equalize by sucking hot air from the outside bringing it inside the house. So, you expelled cool air and bring in hot air.
Whatever your AC did was negated.
Yes, you will still feel the cool air effect, but you are wasting way too much energy for this, and you are bringing hot air, dust, pollutants from outside your house. It may sound exaggerated but if your AC is on 24/7, the effect is big.
But you can probably rig this AC and make it a dual hose. It is still probably a good buy if you modify it.
