None of that is relevant to whether this is a deal or not. A better price will always arrive down the road when it comes to tech. By then there will be something newer/better/faster/whatever.

I love my g8 oled widescreen. Cant go back to playing on a square screen again. Lower resolution yes but can barely tell the difference and with my 4090 i can max out every game and most like future games for the next 2 years

You are looking at a luxury item that most (if not all) people have no need or use for. Few years ago, 1ms response rate and 60hz was considered high end.
The current economy commands 1000$+ prices for high end mobile phones that would last -optimistically- half as long as this monitor. Same for OLED TVs that will sit several feet further and get used less.
Average salary in California is >100k.

Finally bought this monitor yesterday and it got delivered earlier today. FedEx is fast af.

Pretty quick and easy to set up. Downloaded this YouTuber's ICC profile and settings [youtu.be], and it looks very accurate. While HDR1000, DisplayHDR True Black 400, and Dolby Vision looks great (only tested some YT videos so far), I prefer to turn it all off for normal use. I'll only turn them on for movies and some games.

What an incredible monitor. This thing is big and so beautiful. I have a 4-year old LG OLED TV, M4 iPad Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, and a Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 tablet with OLED screen. The LCD monitor I'm replacing is over 8 years old, but I know how great OLED is. Even though I own many other OLED products, this monitor is still shockingly beautiful to me.

It'll take some time for me to get used to the curve but it's not as bad as I thought it'd be. Well worth the $800 (12% CB, no AMEX) I paid in this deal. Glad I waited a few months to buy this.

Nope it's still live for me. It's the capital one shopping app. I rarely use the app so I'm not sure exactly how it works but I think you might be able to search for the monitor or at least on dell through the app.
