Functionality: It works the same way as a physical Costco Shop Card, allowing you to purchase items both in-store and online.
Convenience: Being digital, it can be delivered via email, which makes it convenient for quick gifting or personal use without the need for physical shipping.
Redemption: To use a Digital Costco Shop Card, you can either print out the email and present it at the store or use it directly on Costco.com by entering the card number and PIN during checkout.
Non-Members: One of the notable benefits of Costco Shop Cards (both digital and physical) is that they allow non-members to shop at Costco. If a non-member has a Costco Shop Card, they can use it to make purchases without needing a membership.
Reloadable: These cards can typically be reloaded with additional funds either in-store or online, making them a flexible option for regular Costco shoppers.

(yr.2) 7/2023 to 7/2024: My husband tried to purchased a gold membership online through a specific link of a new Costco location that's offering gc incentive but the order got automatically cancelled and he ended up purchasing it directly at the new Costco location + added the same "member of the same household" as a secondary cardholder --> after waiting for 2 weeks, the customer service over chat/phone initially denied eligibility stating our address zipcode is not listed in the new Costco incentive area but the manager of the new location issued $30 gc manually.
(yr.3) 8/2024(most recent): I purchased a gold membership as a primary cardholder with "slick24" promo code on 8/2/2024 (same name + phone number as (yr.1), same home address as (yr.2), but new email address) and I got a new membership number + added the same "member of the same household" as a secondary cardholder. I received the new membership confirmation in the new email, but I received an error message while trying to do the account verification online, so the membership clerk in store had to help when I picked up the card. He mentioned in his system it showed my new membership was linked to the email address from (yr.1), so he had to "remap" it to the email address I used to sign up for (yr.3), and after that I was able to do the account verification online --> received $40 gc on 8/8/2024, but the gc was sent to email address from (yr.1).
Conclusion from my experience that might confirm/contradict with some of the replies on the thread:
1. Purchase and register with a new email address to get a new membership number
2. The "existing Costco membership must be expired at least 18 months or more" rule doesn't seem to be absolute
3. Secondary cardholder doesn't seem to affect the gc incentive eligibility

Was disappointed with my $20 today, was looking to get the LEGO delivery truck for $30, but $50 is still a deal.

Has anyone who signed up near August 6 received the $60 coupon?
