Two months ago I purchased a new locked Total by Verizon Pixel 6a on ebay and had customer service "rebrand" the phone to Tracfone, transferring my service from the previous QVC Blu View Speed 5g 1-year service deal to the Pixel 6a. It took at least 5 different representatives and an entire evening to complete the switch. It also took a new BYOD Tracfone sim card.

I picked up 2 around Black Friday when Walmart was selling the Straight Talk version for $99.00. Tracfone rebranded them and I was able to use the $10.00 plan for a month. They unlocked automatically after 60 days and I now use them on At&t Prepaid and Freeup. The Pixel 6A is way way better than any of the midrange Motos.

Tip: Walmart.com sells a $25/mo barebones TBV card, while the cheapest one TBV sells is $30/mo.

I believe that's for direct top up for existing TBV $25 service plan customer

Check the same December deal for thorough details on it, but I think you have to activate it on TracFone, then there's a code you text to unlock it. You'll get a response saying your phone will unlock in sixty days.

I see under settings / developer options, you can toggle on OEM unlocking which allows the bootloader to be unlocked.
