I'm a huge Lavazza fan but Illy's beans are whole, without broken pieces more consistent. Cans are also nitrogen sealed so flavor last longer.

Personal preference. This is a dark roast so it will make the espresso stronger

Probably will still be good, but personally I find myself preferring medium roast for espresso now
