Is this better or worse than the soundcore select pro on sale for 39?
This one is 20 watts, Omni directional, doesn't float, more compact. The select Pro is 30 Watts, directional and floats. They're both good deals.

The last time they were at this price was Black Friday or 22. I have 3. One is in by bedroom next to the bed. One is next to my recliner and the last one is in my travel bag. I connect it to hotel TV's. I don't care for loud and distracting noise so I use these to localize the sound and keep volume at min.

They provide great sound for small places or where you need to localize sound. My dad has one next to his chair and now the tv is at a reasonable volume for the rest of us and he can still participate in a conversation.

At 29.00 its a great device.

Keep in mind that while you can connect two of these together, it does not form a stereo pair. You will not get left/right channel separation.

I bought mine because it's waterproof and it's great for poolside.

The sound quality is definitely lacking at higher volumes though.

In for 2. Picked up 2 of these a couple years ago as an emergency forgot to bring our normal bluetooth speaker on spring break for a beach trip. Ended up really liking the omnidirectional, and pairing aspect for beach and poolside duty. Can kind of surround yourself in the sound and doesn't have to wildly loud that everyone within 100 ft of you also hears it.

A couple more will make for nice backups and/or get all 4 sync'd up and really rock out.

My only complaint has been mediocre battery life. About 6-8 hours. Worse if you leave the lights on.

Depends what you want to do with them. If you want just one good speaker, the select pro is going to have better sound and better battery life. But if you want to set up a party on location, you can more easily buy a bunch of flare 2s and sync them all up. You can sync up the Select Pro as well, but its more bulky and the sound is more directional.

I have 3 of the Flare 2s already, deciding adding either 2 more flares or 1 select pro to the mix. Decisions decisions...
Agree, my friend has 2 of the select pros, I have 2 of the flares. And for the purpose we've both used them (poolside or backyard/patio) I prefer the flares. I just think they sound a little better for one thing, but the omnidirectional nature of the flare is more flexible for most settings versus the directional larger speaker.

I have a pair of Soundcore Flare speakers that I purchased in Feb 2019. They're still going strong. Great little speakers.

There are at least two of these at the storevun Burlington, Wash., after I bought two at the $29 price - but you can't get that price at checkstand.

You need to go to the Customer Center, where they can "over-ride the store price

How's the latency on these?
I own 2, I bring 1 on vacation and use it on modern TV's for sound at night. So far no latency issues on 4k type TV's.

Oh that's nice! With two of them can you pair them in stereo?

Dang, I ended up buying 1 select pro instead of 2 more flares. I wanted to add more bass to the mix but now I kinda regret my decisions.
