I don't think I'm trading/upgrading it since for the past 6 months, I've been using my Garmin Epix Pro and I love it very much. It has 14-days battery life and much better sensor as well as build than my Samsung 6 Classic.
I asked chat customer support what happened and they stated it was a one time purchase promotion and can't be re-added lol. Kind of a joke if never technically purchased the first one after canceling. So I'm just gonna wait, samsung lost a sale. Not super hyped on the design anyways. My watch 6 classic will have to do.

Meanwhile watch 6 and watch 5 turns out to be same trade-in value, I'm assuming when watch 6 came out some people traded watch 5 towards watch 6, better think again this time haha.
got mine for 270

I've had my Watch 5 Pro since it came out and its been great, no cracks or dings and I hit this on walls and machines at the gym all the time.
Battery size on the Watch 5 Pro and Watch Ultra is the same at 590mAh, what'll usually helps with battery life is going from 5nm to 3nm but the display is larger at 1.5" vs. 1.4" and 480x480 pixels rather than 450x450. Going from dual core to 5 core and going for 32GB storage/2GB of ram as opposed to 16GB/1.5GB so that'll be a drain.
The biggest thing would probably come from having better water resistance and more "accurate" sensors as well as GPS which is big for sports/fitness enthusiasts, for everyday use its probably nothing. It's also going to be heavier at 60.4g vs. 46.5g.
So overall it depends on what you want to get out of it, floss carter did say its a "manlier" bigger watch lol but we can all see the identity crisis between wanting to be square and circle for wearOS.
I initially wanted the 7 to retain look/size but battery was too small.
Overall I'm looking to upgrade thats why I got it, value of the watch will go down anyway. For $242 w/ tax and $27.00 cash back its not too bad. Also upgrading my Buds Pro (unused) to Buds 3 Pro, still use my Buds 2 Pro and Buds+ at the gym...
