Extremely important and well worth it. After a week or two of operation without one I'd wager most people would be willing to pay $100-$200 for the functionality so $23 is a no brainer.

I have only logged into my Roborock app like twice in the last year. Once you have it set on a schedule, the hardest part is remembering to clean out the dust bin, but that is not an issue when you have a self emptying bin. Seriously considering this even with a crappy app.

Bobsweeps MSRP is a joke, as most are, but Dustin is like $200-$230 usually if you want mopping but I don't want a wet sponge dragged across the floor lol

I bought the $199 bobsweep at Sam's. Immediately returned day after received. Couldn't connect to wifi. Requires 2.4ghz connection only so I reconfigured my wireless signal on all 4 access points in my house to strictly 2.4 and no 5ghz band at all. Didn't work. Tried 6 times, sitting less than 5 feet from the closest access point. Understanding and ability to make my technology is not an issue here, it's their ability to execute.

In short, go look at their app ratings in the app stores to decide for yourselves, but I'd run away.

FYI.. SamsClub sale ends to night (for the Dustin model). Same price, cashback site can add 10% back..
This has 5000 suction Dustin is 4100 pa suction and Dustin has mop so essentially you get a smaller dust collector however I have Dustin from Sam's and so far I like it
It does return to the base after 20 or so minutes but can be restarted again (that's my only complaint)
It doesn't suck in dog toys and avoids objects well however not sure if it will see doggy poop

If you ever have an issue connecting to one of those 2.4 things just walk away from the item and it will latch on when you do
Found that fix on you tube when connecting my old vac a few years ago

No, it does not have the self emptying bin. However, that doesn't mean that the vacuum itself is so much different in terms of noise.
