Extremely important and well worth it. After a week or two of operation without one I'd wager most people would be willing to pay $100-$200 for the functionality so $23 is a no brainer.

Can anyone speak to the volume of this thing? I had to stop using my Wyze vac at night because it startled my dog, which kinda sucks, when the whole point is to take care of the dog's hair... lol

This one has 900pa more suction than the Sam's club offering. The mop function seems mediocre at best so personally id opt for more suction power. The rest of the specs and features seem identical if I'm not mistaken
