These have been running from $75-80 for the past several months from GoHardDrive, either on Newegg, EBay or their own site. A decent deal, but not slick.

Combine with this: https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/17613273

And 6% back on Chase offers for Freedom and Freedom Flex cards.

Seriously. This doesn't seem very slick when you can save $3.50 simply by checking out this current SD.

Not sure what the point of this is given that the eBay deal is still active for the same drive at less money. Not to mention Newegg is much less trustworthy, even if it's just their marketplace.

More to the point, the cheaper Ebay deal is the exact same actual seller - GoHardDrive.

I've got a (targeted, expiring today) 10% off eBay coupon that's making this $74.99 - 10% = $67.49, from the goHardDrive eBay store, so I'll grab a couple and hopefully don't get bad ones that I'll have to return/exchange.

Have anyone used this drive in a NVR ? Or should I just buy a HDD made for NVR ?

People do just that all the time. Surveillance drives will sometimes have characteristics tailored towards operating in an NVR (cooler operation, faster writes than reads vs a more balanced drive, or being tested for continuous writes), but plenty of people use these drives in NVRs and other situations they aren't necessarily meant for.

Having said that, make sure your NVR is staying cool enough with these in it.
