I have not yet figured out how to foam milk properly, but we plan to use with the Philips for milk drinks.
Going to try to get a replacement.

1. the single shot produces 1oz - 1.5oz, the double shot produces 0.25oz and is clearly off/broken. the measurements are clearly inaccurate. If we decide we like making lattes at home, I will use the warranty to hopefully get a new one with properly functioning single/double pumps.
2. you cannot use the steamer at the same time as the machine is brewing espresso.
3. the steamer works fine AFTER it dispenses about a half ounce of water. not sure if this is normal or a product of a cheap product, but i just let it spray into the drip tray first, then dip the milk pitcher after it starts spewing steam.
4. after my 5th or 6th attempt (1st time trying to make drinks at home besides coffee), we've figured out how to use it, and it makes a perfectly good latte. We used flavored syrups from amazon/homegoods. my wife even said it was "excellent".
5. overall, you can tell it's a cheaply made product. but for $30, it's the perfect starter machine for us to test whether my wife is willing to make her lattes at home vs wasting $10 at starbucks every morning. If she like it, I'll prob invest in a better machine for xmas/bday.

The most important thing is to not over-tamp the puck. The highly pressurized basket leads to additional back-pressure, and if you tamp the puck too much, it will become over-compressed and the coffee will taste terrible. You need to use a not too fine ground, and only tamp enough to flatten the puck. I have found the following brew times and dosages work well with this machine. You should end up with a flat puck that aligns with the max line, just below the rim of the basket:
1 Cup Basket - 7-8g grounds, 15s total brew time
2 Cup Basket - 14-15g grounds, 30s total brew time
