Finally jumping on this system at this price.

Amazon says there is a "newer model" though at $99. Anyone know what the difference is?

This kit doesn't include the pico wall plate " (PICO-WBX-ADAPT sold separately)." But the "new model" does.

Wish this was for the switch and not the dimmer version but in for one just to have a spare bridge.

Does the pico remote allow for non-wired operation? I can't alter my current hard-wired switches.

The remote is battery operated and doesn't (can't) be wired, but the dimmer switch itself has to be hardwired.

Why wouldn't you want dimmers? I'm asking seriously, as I'm also retrofitting my home and I am planning on doing dimmers for every switch other than the bathroom exhaust fan.

Looks like it's expired. This is the lowest I've seen it. Just the dimmer goes for $55. Bought 3 just before it expired.
