They are small, not as strong but a nice short burst of mint, and sweetened without sugar so no calories or tooth decay.

Smalls for a reason .37oz vs regular size 1.76 oz and as with most small packaging they are more expensive/ oz so not a SD for sure.

True, but I find these size tins are easier to walk around with in my pocket.
What one really needs is to be able to buy the mints themselves in a bulk jar and just reuse one's existing tins.

I checked Wal Mart every day price and their cost for regular Altoids is $1.43/ounce. These are $1.79/ounce. Not sure why you'd pay a premium for small serving size.
