Just bought the 2024 Motorola Stylus 5G, and absolutely love it so far. Super smooth. So much better than the A54. I think Samsung intentionally makes their non flagship phones slow so people shell out for the more expensive phones.

Trying to gain access to my online account a few days ago I spent over 3 hours "chatting" online with three different reps who concluded that Total was unable to send email to my Yahoo address (despite having received their "Welcome" and "Activate Now" emails there initially). The second rep changed my account from $50/month to $40/month at my request, but then double-charged my credit card.
Today I was directed by the "chat" rep that I had to request a refund for the double-charge via voice phone call. I did that. After 26 minutes on the line, a very dutiful and pleasant rep finally got the refund approved.
No shade on the reps - they are doing what Total requires them to do. But it's a very bad company to deal with.
I'm wondering if I can just request a new number from Total and still keep the discounted rate. Or if they will charge me the full price of the phone without a port-in.

The checkout page shows me the full price of the phone. Is that expected?
I do see a banner on the top with ID verification discount applied, but it isn't applied at checkout?
Tried a google voice and a google fi number but it's the same for both.
Would I get a refund within some days?
