Warning: Do NOT apply using someone else's referral link with the promise that they will give you money to do so. They will have their accounts closed and points taken for churning and you will not get paid from them for what you did. Those people are scumbags and you will never get paid from them after months of waiting for them to do so. There are MANY people on this forum that will do just this and say sorry too bad. They will change their username over and over again to avoid being traced. Your account may now also be associated with them for wrongdoing by Chase. You have been warned.
One way is if you have other credit cards with them, have them "transfer" the credit line over to this credit card.
Chase has the 5/24 rule, meaning 5 applications in a rolling 24month period. So if you exceed that, you have to wait...

$95 to get over $2500 isn't something normal people worry about. The fee is going to hit early. Wait the full year before canceling.

What do you mean over $2500?

Isn't it 1,200?

Do the points go 1:1 for statement credit or cash back ?

What does everyone use the points for given that they do not allow points transfer to partners?

I only have a 5k limit. I spent 4k but my statement closes in three weeks. Can I pay off the card now so I can spend again? In other words, would paying prior to statement closing would give limit back? Would it still add to 8k spend?
Available spending limit = Credit Limit - current balance. So when your payment is posted, your available limit will increase.

8K spending requirements = All purchase charges - returns.

Hope that simple math helps.

I also have sapphire preferred so I transfer the points from the business card to the preferred. Then you can transfer to the travel partners

Sorry if already asked and answered. Since this a chase card does the 4 max credit cards that can be active/open at same time apply when trying to open any of these ink cards? Thanks

So they denied me cause of 5/24 rule. Fortunetly, my wife was under the 5/24 rule and was approved instantly.

Is this better than sapphire reserve or preferred? Or just different. Anyone know why they chose one over the other because this seems to have the highest points.

Since I don't have chase, is Chase preferred a personal card and you can transfer from biz to personal? If so that's pretty awesome!

You seem to be confusing this card with the Ink Premier.

I got my card 2 weeks ago and made some charges. I contacted Chase 2 days ago regarding the 120k match and here's their response.

"Thank you for contacting us to request the 120,000 bonus points offer. We understand this is important to you, and will surely help you. We'll be happy to match your request for 120,000 points after you spend $8,000 on purchases in the first three months your account is open. Our records show that you have not met the spending requirement yet. Once you meet the required spend, please reply to this email to claim the offer. Meanwhile, we'll post the original 100,000 points to your account within six to eight weeks from the date the spend was met."

Hopefully my friend aka dear wife gets the 40k referral bonus too.Smilie

Do you get extra points if you buy gift cards somewhere? I got approved and don't know how to spend 8k without having to incur on some unnecessary expenses. I did prepay my phone bill, internet, etc for some months, but if I could get gift cards instead while racking up points then even better
Yes you can use them on gift cards. I simply pay extra on my bills since you know that is money you are going to have to spend anyways. Since my house/cars are paid off I simply just put an extra 1k towards the electric, water, internet, cell bill, etc.. then get like 500-1k gift cards put on my amazon account then simply get another gc at which ever grocery store I shop at. It shouldn't be hard to spend 8k just have to make sure you pay it off quick so you don't get hit with any interest. I usually just spend the amount then have the points taken off the credit card bill, then I downgrade after a year so I don't get hit with the second $95 annual fee.

The "cash" value is $1,200, but no one redeems for statement credits. You can easily get $2500+ in value through transferring to Hyatt or other partners. I got a $600 plane ticket to Portugal for 16k points by transferring to Air France.

What's the best downgrade option without loosing the points promotion on the downgraded option?
