I must be lucky. I've never had any issues with products in glass from Amazon.

6 glass jars, packed and shipped by Amazon?

Might as well call it S&R, for "Smashed and Refunded". Happened to me, just last month!

Rao's is infinitely better tasting than Prego but at 3x to 5x the Prego price, it dang sure better be.

If you live in the one-day delivery area, I can see that being the case, but if you live in an area served by usps/fedex/ups for your amazon orders (like me), glass bottles sometimes don't even make it to your area. I get a "product was damaged in transit" and returned to seller. I'm pretty sure that means some package handler grabbed a soggy, leaking box of something, and pulled it from the delivery. Is amazon good about proactively reaching out when this happens? No.

rolling the dice, but I'm really not optimistic that 12 glass jars are going to come through unscathed. Price is on-point though

I just received three jars and one was smashed. Had to clean warm tomato paste off my other items

Evidently, it didn't leak enough to discolor or soak the box....or they just didn't care!

Hopefully you got it replaced, or at least a refund?

So I just received my 8 pack of Prego garden vegetable sauce and they were wrapped in bubble wrap and surrounded by paper packing.

No issues with breakage.

I received 2 other sauces in glass that were also wrapped in bubble wrap and paper and they were also fine.

EDIT - they were shipped with UPS

Think they're learning their lesson. Last time these were on sale for individual jars I ordered a bunch individually so I could reuse the discount. My first one shipped on its own and was marked damaged within a couple hours and refunded. The other five came together, each jar with its own protective wrapping and all intact.

The sleeper in this post is definitely the "6-Pack 67-Ounce Italian Sauce [amazon.com] (Flavored with Meat) - $20.90". (and it comes out to $18.81 for me, for whatever reason.)

The sensitive recipe tastes just fine, in fact it's better than Rao's sensitive and Fody. It also doesn't separate in the jar like Rao's and it's a 1/3 or 1/4 the cost.

If you have issues with onions or garlic this is the best tasting and most reasonably priced option.
