ok ... I do NOT own this device but I spent a little time just now, researching it. Here is what I found. It does take usb connector, and plug to connect the device to wall.
BUT ... what I do not like is that if the cord gets damaged, you CAN NOT replace it. I have echo dots, echo show devices, and tons of amazon devices, and you can plug the cord into unit, and unplug it, so if cord gets damaged, use another cord. NOT WITH this echo Glow.
Some people seem to imply it works for about 3 months and then goes crazy and dies.
Others suggested just to use a colored smart bulb for the room, and use that instead of this device.
I wouldn't be getting this for a child, so it would be for me. I was going to buy it but after research I think I'll use one of my many colored smart bulbs in the different rooms. I have one on porch already that I like, and the kitchen. So I'll put one in bedroom, and a few in the living room. Also it is refurb. Maybe in about 4 days it will be on sale on Prime bundle with echo show/dot.

...yup ... I remember the last few years I saw the device but never really researched it. For 10 dollars , I was going to buy 3-4 of these, and use in different rooms. After research, I learned about device and remembered I have a number of colored smartblubs in closet I can take out and use. My post was for my friends on SD, to pass on what I learned.
p.s. I see the guy who posted "you did this research for a 10 dollar item?" 2 thumbs up, and I get none! Gee. Thanks. maybe now I will get thumbs down.

Isn't it surprising how even on a deal site people don't value the dollar? Anyway I think it would be cool if it didn't require another Alexa device. I got rid of all of mine in favor of Google.
