It has a snapdragon 8 gen 2, which is very comparable to the latest and greatest snapdragon 8 gen 3 in the s24 ultra. They are similar except the gen 3 is much better at AI tasks
Really good display too, and oxygen OS is not bad at all.
Just the cameras are kinda meh, not great.
Other than the camera this phone is comparable to the pixel 8, and s24. And for only 300$ it's not even close which one is the better option

I'm still using a OnePlus 9 from T-Mobile that runs great. Pretty much leaves the OnePlus store for me to get any kind of deal.
Tmo also stopped carrying one plus phones, not that I would upgrade through them again anyway with their new policy on paying off a phone and losing credits.
Edit:Looks like this is for a new line or account anyway to get the $299 price.
Not really a deal, there's plenty of deals for a free phone when adding a new line.

It's a great phone for $300, and I don't think you can get something comparable!
To me, it has a pretty good camera, I love its fast charge, just few small issues with Oxygen OS.
For parents I'd get the pixel again 100% for the right price. The 12r is still a ridiculous value for anyone who doesn't value the camera part too much.
Does this model still have the screen off controls (ex: the flashlight, draw a "V" on the screen)? I use that every night and cannot imagine a phone without it.

i got s24 ultra from traded in my note 20 ultra for falling in the ocean, then gave it to my wife to watch video and take pictures, she still using iphone 8.... and I use one Plus 11, probably will buy more onePlus phone in future upgrade
