Not sure activating is worth the $100 in savings. Will have to pay an activation fee, have a credit pull, and then deal with the hassle of actually getting it cancelled.

This phone is wayyyy too good to only be 300$ even if it's the non 16GB variant.

It has a snapdragon 8 gen 2, which is very comparable to the latest and greatest snapdragon 8 gen 3 in the s24 ultra. They are similar except the gen 3 is much better at AI tasks

Really good display too, and oxygen OS is not bad at all.

Just the cameras are kinda meh, not great.

Other than the camera this phone is comparable to the pixel 8, and s24. And for only 300$ it's not even close which one is the better option

Is this the phone that the 256 model has 16gb RAM. Might be worth it for the extra $100

edit: it is.

I ❤️ this phone. It's light, fully charges in 20 min and it's split screen feature is handy when needing two apps on the screen.

there's no way to get this deal while being on T Mobile?
Correct. Shame T-Mobile pulled out of Bestbuy.
I'm still using a OnePlus 9 from T-Mobile that runs great. Pretty much leaves the OnePlus store for me to get any kind of deal.

Tmo also stopped carrying one plus phones, not that I would upgrade through them again anyway with their new policy on paying off a phone and losing credits.

Edit:Looks like this is for a new line or account anyway to get the $299 price.
Not really a deal, there's plenty of deals for a free phone when adding a new line.

that is a bummer, thanks for the info. i've been using a OnePlus 8 Pro for years and the phone still performs as it did on Day-1. i just cracked the screen last week and this would've been a perfect time to upgrade... guess i'll wait and see if there's any deals on Prime Day instead?

Available at oneplus site for 377 for 268gb/16gb version with student discount. But for 128 gb this seems to be the best price.

Does anyone have experience with cancelling at&t plan right away? Any fees or payment needed?
Why do I see $529 at OnePlus site for 256gb version

Noob question - so I buy this and activate with either AT&T and Verizon using no contract option. Then I cancel in a month to get the phone fully unlocked?

The camera is paramount to me, but don't mind a second tier CPU. Pixel phones all the way.
Yeah, my 7's long had a charging port issue (it's just very finicky about charging). This is about the price I want to pay to replace, and a notably better SOC would be nice, but my camera is used far to often to be hit with a notable downgrade. Will probably end up with a Pixel 9, unless price takes another big jump.

You will need to select the trade in with "any device" for $100 off and $50 for using a student account through verification.

FYI. The trade in discount of $100 does not require you to send in any device.

Paid $370 in Feb 2024 (unlocked) and using it since then.
It's a great phone for $300, and I don't think you can get something comparable!
To me, it has a pretty good camera, I love its fast charge, just few small issues with Oxygen OS.

Same doubt. Which has the better camera?
Pixel camera and photo processing is definitely a big improvement but the 12r processor is MUCH faster(almost ~50%) if you are gaming. I upgraded from a normal pixel 7 to a S24+ and the pixel took better pictures too.

For parents I'd get the pixel again 100% for the right price. The 12r is still a ridiculous value for anyone who doesn't value the camera part too much.

Time to upgrade from my 6T?

Does this model still have the screen off controls (ex: the flashlight, draw a "V" on the screen)? I use that every night and cannot imagine a phone without it.

Thank you!
This phone runs Android 14..the 6T has been EOL for quite some time ..the processor, size, and so many other things are far superior to what you have now and the OS has evolved substantially. That said, this is the ENTRY level version which originally sold for $499

select verizon or at&t option (both are no contract) to allow for $299 pricing, google Fi is $399.
Going through Verizon, BB is showing me only unlimited plans with the cheapest being $65 / month with $35 activation fee. That makes this a non-deal because it'd cost even higher with taxes than buying the unlocked without carrier version for $399.

Tempted but I hate OnePlus Android update policy. I have a OnePlus Nord 12GB bought in 2020 and it is doing fine but it stuck on Android 13. My oneplus 3T is still going strong and it has reach EOL, converted it into Lineage OS but it can't be used for online banking.

Got myself a Pixel 8.At least I know my phone can be used for at least 8 years.
