Code says 7/14 only in T&S, but it appears to be a typo for 7/15 or they extended the sale. Didn't notice the sale until very very late on 7/14, basically 7/15 eastern, so it's probably the latter.

Just doesn't seem like these are very good deals...
No one is forcing you to buy anything. Don't buy if you are uncomfortable.

Been wanting a chainsaw but all they have is factory reconditioned and there are too many horror stories about that stuff.

most of the prices from this store are either the same price as HD or that you can easily find elsewhere... And the products you're getting from this store are all blemished/damaged goods to boot. Not a fan of this store at all, it just feels slimy/dishonest.
Most people do not do the proper research and do not understand this is not just some random clearance store. If you buy from anywhere else other than HD or DTO, you are NOT getting warranty. Direct Tools Outlet is owned by the Techtronic, the parent company of Ryobi, Milwaukee, Ridgid.... There is a HUGE difference in buying from an Amazon, amazon seller, ebay, etc... and HomeDepot and DirectToolsOutlet. HD and DTO are the ONLY authorized resellers in the US for Ryobi. Your receipt from elsewhere will not be honored for warranty.

If you buy from some random store for a good deal, of course you're going to have a headache when there is a warranty issue. DTO is not a random store. For power tools they give you a shipping label (they pay) to mail in for warranty. If it is a large power tool, you have to take it to a local authorized repair with proof of warranty.
What I said in the earlier post still applies just that the server is EDT not PDT. Those on the west coast still cannot buy even though it's still 7/14 there right now. They don't get to buy even though its within the sale date because it's about the local time of the server not the local time of the buyer. This does happen with other websites like Newegg and Amazon on BF specials, which are definitely based on PDT.
This discussion that was being had was trying to reconcile the discrepancy of why the sale was on 7/15, even though it was stated 7/14 in the T&S last night. We discovered this was due to a typo earlier this morning not because the server is PDT, which was a speculation to explain the error. The server is EDT.
No big deal. I saw the post early when there were only 2 comments and none of the typo conversation had happened yet, and was just referring to what you said about the server being on PT.
"Doesn't matter where you are. Their server is in Cali. So purchase time is based on where they are not where you are. This is pretty much the case for any online store and time dated coupons. In this case, you can be on east coast and code will still work for a few more hours."
That was all I had read before coming back and commenting, as I had their page open from the initial post. The way they advertised the sale made it sound like the 35% discount would continue after the today only free shipping ended. Since everything I had in my cart was available for in store pickup I wasn't worried about the free shipping. I did manage to pick up the 35 piece reciprocating blade pack earlier today for $24 which was a decent score. Only things I missed after 12 were an impact socket set, buffer and pressure washer (which I was having second thoughts about anyways).
Thanks for posting the deal though. I did get the main thing I wanted earlier. The things I missed weren't because of your comment, and I didn't mean what I said to sound like I missed out because of it. Thanks again for posting.
Ordered some stuff during the ONEDAYONLY code sale. Got a really good discount on stuff, but the order just got canceled. CS told me to order again, added to cart without issue but no discount code now...
Damn, got my order already but it came with the wrong batteries altogether. Got two 1.5Ah standard Ryobi batteries instead of the 2.0Ah HP batteries in the listing. Has this happened to anyone else? Will DT send the right batteries or is it gonna be a hassle to get them to make things right?

DTO experience has been well discussed on reddit ryobi sub both in terms of blem and recon.
