I have the 4x4 centipede and use it frequently as a light duty work surface with the folding 3/4" dog hole MDF top. I drilled out some of the rivets on one set of legs and replaced with clevis pins so that I can easily convert it from 4x4 to 2x4, the configuration where it spends most of its time since I am short on space. Note that the way the tops connect you cannot connect two 2x4 tables to get a 4x4 or two 4x4 tables to get a 4x8 without drilling out rivets or accepting some misalignment (fine with a custom top, won't work with the Bora tops). The MDF tops are shockingly overpriced for what they are and use an obnoxious proprietary twist lock cam connector. The connectors occasionally work themselves loose but have the benefit of securing at every leg and not leaving anything sticking up above the table surface.

I wouldn't call it sturdy or stable, but on a flat concrete surface it can hold a lot of weight and with a well secured top installed it's not "wobbly." If you plan to do a lot of hand sawing, planing, chisel work, etc this is likely not stable enough. The cross braces make it difficult to store anything under the table which is annoying for my long term use, but they're a decent place to hang clamps while working.

Some good deals here. Does anyone have that Delta 6 inch bench grinder? Is it any good?

I frequently see the smaller Bora centipedes on sale but never the bigger ones. I want one that can hold a full sheet of plywood.

Is the centipede style better/worse than the saw horse style? Both would be the compact/portable base for a 4x8 workbench with 3/4 inch plywood on top.

Depends how you work and what you work on. The centipede (I have several) is compact to store and deploys rapidly. The biggest downside is you cannot put anything under the worksurface (eg vac, cutoffs, whatever).

The worktop is held to the centipede stand by these clamp type of things, so overall the whole setup is stable but not overly ridgid. Certainly fine as a basic assembly/clamping surface. For me it's a quick way to deploy a basic 20mm dog-holed worksurface. You'll probably get a little more ridgidity out of two stable sawhorses with attached worksurface, and the centipede definitely won't hold a candle to something like a Paulk workbench, variations of which I consider to be the ultimate DIY bench design for jobsite trim/finish carpentry.

The track saw rail for $28 is a good deal, if I didn't already have 2 x 55" rails already I would buy these. They look almost exactly like the wen tracks I bought.

In for one of the wall mount shop vacs for the garage. The 20+ feet of hose will be nice for reaching the vehicles. And cleaning the garage itself

The WEN 3410 is a great unit, but some of their control boards have shipped with bad capacitors.

WEN is aware of the issue and will send out a new control board under warranty for you to swap out, but fixing it yourself is worth learning how to do.

Bad capacitors are a common failure point for a lot of electronics, especially TVs, so it's pretty rewarding when you can fix them with a 10 cent part.

Would the centipede stand work in a pinch as a makeshift scaffolding under a porch to paint and stucco? Weight capacity-wise looks fine but maybe to much wobble to avoid being on fail videos?
