Do these have an actual white channel? Many reviews claim the white is too "cool" / not good quality.

While the lights are outdoor and waterproof rated… the power supply and inline controller/receiver isn't.

Just like the govee tempurature sensors I was looking at yesterday... Had $20 yesterday, then for the "deal", they took $14 off and $6 coupon...

Hmmm… if you are referring to permanent outdoor lights, those usually go under the eaves. There are not necessarily under direct Sun.

I have been underwhelmed by the Govee products that I have bought recently.

I have mine mounted on our fence and the control box is mounted on the side of the house(under the awnings) but otherwise unprotected from Florida sun and storms. 0 issues thus far and still look great. I also have a set of their outdoor rgbic strip lights on our patio that are still going strong other than yellowing from being outside. We are actually going to get another set of these string lights to replace the strips lights in our patio. Was hoping that the wall sconces would be on sale as well.

I use the Feit patio led light strings at Costco. It's a direct 120v no transformer connection like most Christmas lights and has been up for years and no issue. They are fully exposed to all elements and controlled through a zwave outdoor plug.

I imagine the most susceptible part of the Govee system to water intrusion and malfunction is the inline control box. Glad you got it figured out under the awning. I don't think I'd risk it in my specific install location. There's a lot of reviewers with bad luck and water.

Yes 100%. I have them installed. They have the warm lighting effect that you get from traditional string light bulbs. Love mine.
