For those interested, the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 12.7 (Snapdragon 870, 8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage) is available on AliExpress for $197 - $20 (coupon USGD20) = $177. The case and pen have to be purchased separately.

(The pen is Lenovo Precision Pen 3, NOT the Tab Pen Plus for P12)

I got this tablet back in May for streaming games via moonlight from my PC. It is amazing for this! I did a lot of testing on codec latency. If you stream at native resolution, You can get sub 20 ms speeds.

And if you're willing to root it, which honestly is not too difficult if you have any experience in it whatsoever, you can install some magisk modules that improve other aspects. I used one that increases the saturation of the screen. It is breathtaking.

Stick the tablet inside of a Gamesir G8 controller, and you've got yourself a steamdeck killer.

Sub 20ms decoding time? Or network latency?

Using WiFi 6 the network latency is 3ms in my house. Decode ranges 19-25ms at 4k res. I've compared it to my Nvidia Shield though and it feels so very close. I've tried many devices over the years and this is the best for the price I've found for streaming performance.

I've also heard if you root it and install a custom ROM that it might be possible to use another codec that reduces the decoding time further. But I haven't tried that.

this is a solid built tablet. it feels like a premium tablet.
great audio & screen.

it has to be top of the price=performance list.
cash back sites just makes it better.

i dont need a keyboard or pen but i would have no issues paying the 230 price.

The Lenovo website says the P11 (2nd gen) tablet will stop getting security updates in October 2025 (1 more year). In contrast, the Lenovo P12 will get security updates until June 2027 (3 more years). For that reason alone, I would rather pay a little more to get the P12. https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/...ade-matrix

This is why I don't buy tablets. I just refuse to have to keep up with updates
