I've had my eye on this for a year and it's definitely the cheapest Ive seen it. But should I pull the trigger or just ride my bike and save the money. Hmmm

I saw someone ride these dumb scooters with tiny wheels at full speed and then came to a bump on the sidewalk and did a couple 360 flips that even Simone biles can't do
You're SOL unless you're good with your hands or knows someone who is. Because most bike shops or auto shops with not fix scooter flats. That's why i went with solid tire. Not as smooth of a ride but gives me peace of mind,

I was gonna comment that it's ability to go up a 20 degree slope means it should be able to go over the sidewalk spaces every 2 feet with ease tho a handicapped ramp or speed bump may be too much an burn the motor
But I think you just proved that wrong.
This scooter thing definitely seems like a fad. I didn't even think skateboards were a limited trend an they are gone. I seen someone dragging theirs around a store. Took up most the cart. They are far larger than they make em appear as.
I have the Segway F35 from Costco a while back. It's a nice scooter; surprisingly useful (in fact, I'll be riding it to my doctor's office today). Before I bought it, I checked its max weight limit (same as F40). After almost a year, the scooter still functions like new w/ no maintenance --> I've yet to change brake pads or even fixed a flat (knock on wood). Also, I've not noticed any battery degradation. You need to use the Segway app to setup it; but after initial setup, I just deleted that app (i.e. no need for app to use the scooter).

Sidewalks and curbs are not a big deal with this scooter (it's got 10" wheels). The pneumatic tires help absorb a lot of shock and also help keep the tires in contact with the ground (i.e. acts as simple suspension; keeping tires on the ground helps give more ride control).
On scooters with solid tires and without suspension, those little sidewalk lips and curbs can be very dangerous unless the rider actively negotiates them. On this scooter (speaking from riding the F35 , a very similar model for almost a year, you'd hardly notice them.
From what I read, it is a real pain to change the tires on these things because of the motorized hub. (I've not yet needed to do anything , so this is just what I read)
