True, but someone who is new should play with garbage paddles at least a few times before committing $100. Maybe even try a nice paddle of a friend for a few games.

A beginner what have any idea what a drop, spin, touch, reset etc mean.

I bought the slickdeal $40 two paddle set for $10 and they sit in my trunk unused. I do use paddles from AliExpress and they're $30 and good quality. I'd say maybe good backup paddles for friends like think a third party controller for n64. Crap but I mean you want them to lose anyway atleast they're out having fun
