These are the paddles you let your friends who are new to pickleball ... borrow, knowing they may never be returned.

True, but someone who is new should play with garbage paddles at least a few times before committing $100. Maybe even try a nice paddle of a friend for a few games.

A beginner what have any idea what a drop, spin, touch, reset etc mean.

Just got a pair. They are quite literally pieces of wood that are about a half inch thick. Worth exactly what I paid for them 😁

Last time they offered a free mug I picked it up. Even while washing it I was hesitant to use it, then decided to throw it away. It was so flimsy garbage, probably worth less than $0.05 and that's why they can give them for free.

I never played pickleball but maybe I'll try this out. Is it at least 50% as good as those $10 kits at Marshall's and Ross? Or maybe I should just get the $10 ones to try out.

the local store around me opens up at 10 am
I was around the area so I stopped by exactly at 10
the employee said they opened up 15 minutes earlier since there was a line
luckily they still had some left

Imagine the worst pickleball racket in the market... Now imagine there are spikes on the handle of that racket... These will still be worse than those... Quite literally the worst of the worst pickleball racket you'll find... If anyone is planning to use these, spend the $20-30 and get one from Amazon instead. Your wrists will be very thankful!

This is perfect. Wanted to get into pickleball with a buddy and don't want to spend the money if we end up not enjoying it. Think this would be great to start out with, and upgrade to a nicer set if we enjoy it.
